Description of Duties:

• Maintain systems (reference to “systems” includes SAP ECC/ S/4 HANA, and CRM) applications and operations at a level that is acceptable to the user community and develop improvements in functionality in collaboration with all levels of the user community, including but not limited to Yaskawa Management, Power Users and other members of the Systems Development and Support Group.
• Carry out the identified systems enhancement projects such as: stabilizing and enhancing the Production Clients, and addressing ongoing future issues that are identified.
• Participate in the identification, prioritization and implementation of company business process reengineering activities. The goal of this effort is to gain the maximum efficiencies available through the systems, consistent with a sound change management strategy.
• Define the scope and requirements of new developments, carry out detailed system design, write specifications, configure SAP, document the configuration, test new developments, and plan and implement the cut-over to new processes.
• Conduct testing on system changes by creating schedules, developing test plans, coordinating user testing, and verifying results.
• Continually educate themselves, other Systems Development & Support Group members, Power Users, and the user community in system functionality to a level where Yaskawa can be reasonably self-sufficient in future systems support and projects.
• Support users as the system is employed day-to-day and provide consulting on functionality and configuration. Work with users and other team members to solve application and operational problems in a timely and efficient manner.
• Produce and maintain easily understood system documentation and assist Power Users in the preparation and maintenance of user documentation.
• Travel is required 2-4 weeks per year for training and conferences.

 

Qualifications:

• Four (4) year college degree in computer science or business area and 5 years of business experience in a related industry or equivalent experience.
• In-depth experience in a business discipline and at least 5 years configuration experience with SAP ECC / S/4 HANA software in the following modules; SD, MM, PP, QM, WM, FI/CO.
• Extensive knowledge of SAP’s Order-to-Cash and Procure-to-Pay processes.
• Able to organize, influence and lead people who are not direct reports.
• Ability to organize large and complex tasks.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Broad business experience beyond the assigned areas is desirable.
• Trusted and respected by the user community.
• Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to work with other groups to complete projects on time.
